Today I Am A Flower

2026-06-21

I wore a dress today
or rather, a skirt
in honor of the sun
This Summer Solstice
I want to be a flower
bright, happy, flowy
existing in a garden
swaying in the breeze
But I'm not a flower
Instead my hair adorns
my body instead of petals
I'm a man who stands on
legs instead of a stem
But in my twirling skirt
so colorful and bright
with red, orange, pink
I dance around the altar
and I can pretend that
today, I am a flower
